Ocean Management Systems Inc., in consultation with the CPSC, announced a voluntary recall of Buoyancy Compensators used for Scuba Diving due to a defect that poses a drowning hazard.
To date, the company has not received any reports of injury associated with the recalled products.
The CPSC News Release includes a list of recalled buoyancy compensators with corresponding item numbers. They were sold at dive stores nationwide in the U.S. from May 2006 through August 2008.
Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled dive equipment and to contact the company for a free repair.
